Instrumentation Engineer / Asset Specialist, Alberta – Canada
Applicant should ideally have 8 years experience in the field of Instrumentation & Controls Engineering including: Instrumentation Assets, Data Sheets and Improvements.
- Adept to research/size/specify plant valve & instrumentation components with emphasis on the Fisher/Rosemount Emerson product.
- Experienced in selection of valve & instrumentation materials for harsh & severe service environments.
- Good knowledge of CSA/IEEE/ASI/API/etc. relevant industry standards.
- SPI InTools platform capable, ability to rapidly research, understand, & generate technical instrumentation documentation/data sheets.
- Extensive troubleshooting skill resolving root cause of plant valve & instrument failures, researching solutions, & implementing instrumentation improvements/upgrades.
- Experience with Emerson DeltaV BPS & SIS, Honeywell Experion, RS Logix 5000 control platform hardware design, & software programming configuration.
- Familiarity with design/troubleshooting of various industrial networks including DeviceNet, ControlNet, AMS Device Manager, Foundation Fieldbus, Modbus, ASI bus.
- Familiarity with SAP platform software management interface tool.
- Software PLC/DCS/SIS programming, graphics & graphic standards, control narratives, logic/cause/effect diagrams.

Mechanical Reliability/Maintenance Engineer, Alberta – Canada
The Reliability Engineer will be responsible to:
- Provide technical engineering support to the Maintenance, Operations and Project personnel regarding selection, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and long term reliability of equipment.
- Work towards continuous improvement of reliability of assets through the application of effective reliability strategies, root cause analysis, and team based problem solving and sound engineering practice.
- Identify risks and prepare for contingencies within the job plan.
- Improve long term reliability maintenance plan continually to minimize downtime and maintenance cost.
- Review Turnaround scope packages, vendor drawings, RFI, prepare purchase specifications, and liaise with vendors and ABSA design survey engineers.
- Develop engineering scope and scope changes for all outages, major and turnaround maintenance events.
Qualification Requirements:
The successful candidates will have a Mechanical Engineering degree complemented by their Professional Engineering Status and several years of relevant maintenance and reliability experience.
In addition the successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge of ASME VIII, Div 1 & 2, B31.1, B31.3 and API Codes
- Exposure to an operating plant environment
- Familiarity with Predictive maintenance methods.

API-510-570-653 / Welding Inspector, Alberta – Canada
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform all aspects of visual and major inspections, make recommendations for action and write comprehensive reports on findings. Search and review available/past inspection histories of Vessels, Exchangers and Piping, corrosion mechanism for each plant and prepare detailed scopes of inspection and repairs including NDE techniques to be applied under ASME VIII refinery equipment.
- Developing an understanding of plant equipment, process conditions, failure mechanisms and repair procedures
- Completing required inspections and updating and maintaining inspection records
- Implementing new inspection procedures and techniques
- Maintaining established inspection programs
- Reporting equipment condition, and development of maintenance strategies
- Writing Technical Reports
- Collect and analyze data, generate conclusions and make recommendations
- Update and maintain inspection data bases
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant inspection experience of pressure vessels or pressure piping, pressure safety valves, tanks, heat exchangers or Mining equipment
- Good interpersonal, reporting and communication skills
- Understanding of the manufacturing and fabricating process, procedures and installation methods
- Knowledge of inspection and test equipment and methods
- Certification to API 510/570/653 standard is preferred
- Certification to CWB 178.2, Level 2 or 3 is preferred
- Certification to MPI / LPI - CGSB Level 2, UT/RT is preferred
Other assets include:
- Diploma of Engineering Technology (Welding, Mechanical, Materials) **Knowledge of Risk Based Inspection Practices

Planner / Reliability Program Developer, Alberta – Canada
Position/Accountabilities:
- Develop Maintenance and Reliability Strategies and PM Planning for new and existing equipment.
- Walk Down of plant equipment/systems, develop equipment data records, PM plans and Bill of Material requirements for the same
- Walk Down and Plan work package development of scheduled maintenance activities within the Plant Maintenance Module of SAP R/3 for weekly and Outage/Turnaround Maintenance Work Activities.
- Develop step listing and task list in SAP.
Qualification Requirements:
- University degree in technology or licensed tradesman would be an asset.
- The successful applicant will have 10+ years of planning / reliability experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, preferably in a Refinery/Heavy Industry environment, related to Reliability and/or equipment maintenance and repair.
- Exposure to an operating plant environment and experience in the use of CMMS-SAP program.
**Previous Experience in the Canadian Oil and Gas Industry is preferred, Must be qualified to work in Canada.
Heavy Equipment / Automotive Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair faults and/or malfunctions
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Perform scheduled government inspections
- Understand work orders and technical manuals and documentation
- Ensure regulations are met by performing testing of equipment
- Knowledge of composing service reports and other documentation
The successful Technician will have:
- Alberta Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman Certificate or Interprovincial Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic or equivalent certification from the United States
